Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has stirred confusion and controversy after mistakenly saying, “May the soul of President Bola… rest in peace,” during a public address.
The slip of tongue, which occurred at a live event, left many in shock before the governor quickly corrected himself. However, the statement has since gone viral, drawing mixed reactions across social media platforms and political circles.
While some dismiss the remark as a harmless gaffe, others have criticized the governor for what they describe as a “careless and avoidable blunder,” especially when referring to the sitting President.
There has been no official clarification from the governor’s media team as of press time.
