Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is set to be officially unveiled as a Galatasaray player on Saturday, August 2, following a blockbuster €75 million transfer from Italian side Napoli. The move marks one of the most high-profile signings in Turkish football history.
Galatasaray’s vice president, Abdullah Kavukcu, is currently in Italy to seal the final details of the agreement. The deal is expected to be concluded within the week, after which Kavukcu will return to Istanbul with Osimhen.
The Super Eagles forward, who was Serie A’s top scorer in the 2022/23 season, is expected to boost Galatasaray’s attacking strength as the club prepares for both domestic and European campaigns.
