The BATN Foundation has awarded agribusiness grants to four graduates of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, under its flagship Graduate Agripreneur Programme, bringing the number of empowered graduates to 22 this year with a total disbursement of over N33m.
The award and pitch ceremony was held on the university campus, where the quartet of Ibiam Chioma, Ugwu Chibuzor, Uwa Chukwuemeka, and Ngama Vivian were unveiled as beneficiaries of the grant.
Other beneficiaries of the GAP initiative this year have emerged from the University of Ibadan, the University of Ilorin, and the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.
In a statement made available to The PUNCH, General Manager of BATN Foundation, Mr Oludare Odusanya, said the initiative reaffirms the Foundation’s commitment to strengthening youth-led agribusinesses across the country.
