According to eye witness accounts, the incident occurred on Saturday night July 26, while the cult group was reportedly initiating new members in a secluded bush area. Armed assailants stormed the location and took the participants hostage, whisking them away to an unknown destination.
Security agencies in Plateau State have yet to issue an official statement, but local residents report increased patrols in the area.
However, the identities of the abducted individuals and motives behind the kidnapping remain unclear.
The latest abduction adds to the growing concerns over insecurity and rising cult-related activities in part of Northern Nigeria.
