Rights activist Celestine Akpobari announced that Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retired) has completed his role as the Sole Administrator of Rivers State.
This remark comes after the truce achieved by previously conflicting political figures in Rivers State, including Governor Siminalayi Fubara, his predecessor Nyesom Wike, and members of the state assembly.
Akpobari, a member of the Governing Council for the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP), mentioned this during his appearance on Channels Television's The Morning Brief program on Monday.
He also cautioned Ibas against interfering with the N1,485,662,592,442 Rivers State Appropriation Bill for 2025 that was approved by the Senate on Wednesday, June 25th of that year.
The activist further urged President Bola Tinubu to promptly lift the state of emergency in the oil-rich region and reinstate Governor Fubara.
