Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade has publicly criticized the Confederation of African Football (CAF) over the poor accommodation conditions provided to players at the ongoing WAFCON 2024 tournament in Morocco.
Ajibade took to social media to express her frustration, posting a photo of a cramped, kitchen-sized room and writing:
“Two professional women’s players in this kitchen-sized room at a prestigious tournament.”
The post has since gone viral, sparking outrage from fans, athletes, and sports journalists across Africa and beyond, many of whom are demanding accountability and immediate improvements from CAF.
As one of the leading voices in African women’s football, Ajibade’s stand is being praised by fans who see it as long overdue advocacy for better treatment and respect for female athletes.
