It has been revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of Al Nassr, played a role in preventing Victor Boniface's transfer to the Saudi Pro League.
This was disclosed by Onyebuchi Onokala, a Nigerian broadcast journalist popularly known as Buchi Laba.
Buchi Laba states that the club only signs players if Ronaldo approves the transfer.
Al Nassr was connected to both Boniface and Jhon Duran but ultimately signed the Colombian striker.
Buchi Laba posted on X: "Let me share a little insight about Jhon Duran and why I'm surprised to hear he's unhappy at Al Nassr."
Al Nassr held negotiations for him and Victor Boniface, ultimately presenting both names to Cristiano Ronaldo so he could choose one. Ronaldo opted for Duran.
No signings occur at Al Nassr without Ronaldo's approval, including the selection of the Head Coach. He has a say in all decisions, so why is Duran unhappy after less than a year?
