Renowned Nigerian rapper Jude Abaga, widely recognized as M.I, admitted that endorsing the All Progressives Congress (APC) was a mistake.
The artist known as the "African Rapper NO 1" explained that he backed the APC in 2015 because he believed that the ruling party at the time, the PDP, was corrupt.
He acknowledged that the APC is falling short of expectations and mentioned that it was not the party he had envisioned.
In a recent episode of the Menism podcast, M.I discussed his tweet regarding the herdsmen attacks in Benue. He mentioned that many people responded by saying, "But M.I, you supported the APC."
Certainly! Here's a rewritten version of the statement: "I backed APC at that time because I believed the PDP government was highly corrupt. I joined others in voicing my opinion, advocating for us to unite and usher in democracy."
As humans, we will inevitably make mistakes no matter how hard we strive for accuracy. Sadly, the APC does not align with my ideal vision of it.
He expressed that he is currently dedicating his talent and platform to working with other young people in order to build a better nation.
