A Nigerian car dealer has raised alarm after a client who deposited ₦45 million for a vehicle vanished and has been unreachable for two years.
This was revealed in a post shared by @maziechidiime on X (formerly Twitter), where the Chairman/CEO of Echidiime Motors Limited expressed his frūstration over the unresolved situation.
According to him, the client was someone he met through TikTok, but since the payment in 2023, all efforts to reach the man have failed.
He added that the client’s TikTok account has since been banned, further cutting off any form of contact.
The dealer also noted that he approached the bank to trace the client through the account used for the transaction, but the bank has refused to release any useful information.
“A client paid for a vehicle worth ₦45 million naira and ghosted us since 2023,” he wrote. “We have tried calling, texting, and reaching out to his bank but unfortunately, he’s an orphan🪶.”
He continued, “Sincerely, what do you think we should do? Okay. But his TikTok account has been deleted since then, because we met on TikTok.”
The unusual case has sparked conversation online, as many trooped to the comment section to offer suggestions and express concern.
