Nigerian comedian and content creator Carter Efe has taken aim at social media activist Verydarkman over his recent remarks about Afrobeats star Davido and members of the Adeleke family.
Carter Efe accused the activist of criticising Davido despite allegedly receiving assistance from the singer in the past. He suggested that Verydarkman had turned against someone who had previously shown him kindness.
Speaking about the situation, Carter Efe said: “Davido wey carry you go hotel give you food na him dey drag. Because they don dey give you small small money, you don dey drag,” he said.
The skit maker also questioned Verydarkman’s description of his bakery project, alleging that the activist had initially presented it as a school. He further claimed that financial assistance had improved the activist’s living conditions.
“You build bakery finish talk say na school. Them don dey give you small small money you don change your environment. You don dey put rug for your room na,” he added.
Carter Efe went on to issue a stern warning to the activist over his comments about Davido, saying: “Na God go take your life VDM as you dey insult my helper.”
His remarks come amid an ongoing dispute surrounding Verydarkman’s criticism of the Adeleke family. The activist has reportedly questioned the lavish lifestyle of Davido, his cousins B-Red and Sina Rambo, and their uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Carter Efe’s comments have added another voice to the controversy surrounding Verydarkman’s remarks about the prominent family.
