According to a report by Daily Post Nigeria on Friday, May 22, 2026, the Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has stated that God is not pleased with the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and has never supported the government from the beginning.
Speaking on the current state of the nation, the cleric described the administration as a “total error,” stressing that the decision to adopt a Muslim-Muslim ticket during the 2023 presidential election created a difficult situation for the country. According to him, the consequences of that political decision are now becoming visible across the nation.
Primate Ayodele further claimed that the government has continued to face several challenges because, in his view, it lacks divine support. He maintained that many of the hardships and negative events currently happening in the country are signs that things are not moving in the right direction.
The outspoken cleric also warned that the road ahead will become even tougher for President Tinubu, especially as the 2027 presidential election approaches. He added that only God’s mercy can help the president overcome the political and leadership challenges before him.
In his words:
“The government is an error right from the moment they decided to do a Muslim-Muslim ticket, and it will be hard to correct. God has never been in support of the government, and that’s why a lot of things are happening. It will be hard for the president; only God can show him mercy.”
