The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has reportedly generated more than ₦20 billion from the sale of expression of interest and nomination forms ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to party sources, about 2,980 aspirants purchased forms to contest for various positions including:
🗳️ Governorship
🗳️ Senate
🗳️ House of Representatives
🗳️ State House of Assembly
Although the party has yet to release a full breakdown of purchases by position, reports indicate that the intense competition across states contributed heavily to the massive revenue.
In Kwara State alone, 16 governorship aspirants reportedly obtained forms, while six aspirants purchased governorship forms in Oyo State.
The development highlights the growing political activity and fierce battle for party tickets ahead of the 2027 elections.
