AAUA Gets New Registrar


The Governing Council of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, on Monday, 16th March 2026, approved the appointment of Dr. Grace Olubunmi BABALOLA, the sixth substantive and second female Registrar of the University. The appointment, which has a tenure of five years, takes effect from 1st April 2026

Dr. Grace BABALOLA attended Olabisi Onabanjo University, where she graduated 
as the best graduating student in the Faculty of Law. She further enriched her legal expertise by obtaining a Bachelor of Laws degree from the prestigious Nigerian Law School in Abuja. 
She holds a Master's in Business Administration ( MBA) and a Master's degree in Law (LLM). She also obtained a Post Graduate Diploma from the International Institute of Pastoral Education & Chaplaincy( IIPEC) and a Ph.D in Law with multidisciplinary expertise in security studies, humanitarian law, and the law of armed conflicts. 
Her professional journey bridges law, leadership, education, ethics, and institutional reform—guided by a passion for human-centred governance and excellence in public service.

Dr. Grace Olubunmi Babalola is a Fellow of the Charted Institute of Corporate Administrators(FCIA), Fellow, Chartered Institute of Public Management of Nigeria(FCIPM), Fellow, Institute of Policy Management & Leadership Development (IPMLD), Associate Chartered Institute of Personnel Management ( CIPM), Member, Association of University Administrators, now (AHEP) United Kingdom, Member, Society for Peace and Studies and Practice, Member, Association of Nigerian Universities Professional Administrators( ANUPA). A four-star General of Chaplains, International Institute of Charplaincy, Dr. Babalola is also a member of the Federation of Female Lawyers( FIDA), an Alumna, Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies,( N.I.A.L.S), Life Member, Legal Temple Nigeria and a Life member, Bible Society of Nigeria, amongst others. 

She has attended and presented papers at academic conferences and leadership platforms in top global universities
within and outside Nigeria, including at Stratford University, United Kingdom, Manchester University, United Kingdom, Nottingham Trent University, United Kingdom, Durham University, United Kingdom, Cambridge University, United Kingdom, Oxford University, United Kingdom, and Durban University of Technology, South Africa, amongst others

She was the Former Legal Officer, Adekunle Ajasin University, a one-time Endowment Officer in the Advancement Office, Vice Chancellor's Office, head of the Council Affairs Division & the immediate past head of the Academic Affairs Division. She is the Legal Adviser to a number of bodies and associations, including the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Ondo North Senatorial District, Christian Association of Nigeria, Akoko North West Local Government, and the Joint Christian Campus Fellowship, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko chapter, to mention a few. 
She has received several commendations & awards to her credit & to the glory of God. 

As the Deputy Registrar Academic at Adekunle Ajasin University, Grace plays a critical role in shaping the educational landscape. She lectures on a part-time basis, has published in academic journals, and is the author of three forthcoming books on Education Law currently with publishers, focusing on university leadership, ethical governance, and transformative Registry in the 21st century

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Grace is a beacon of inspiration to young minds across the nation. As the Patron of Joint Christian Fellowship (JCCF) AAUA Chapter, the Convener of " Let's Talk Relationship " a monthly relationship seminar that she convenes, and the Resident Pastor of Kings Renaissance Embassy Worldwide(KREW), Havillah Parish, she seamlessly integrates her academic prowess with spiritual leadership, making a holistic impact on those around her.

Grace is a devout wife to Bishop Felix Ayo Babalola and a loving mother to two sons.
