A Nigerian cleric, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has stirred fresh debate over the country’s energy outlook after warning that the price of petrol could skyrocket if current conditions persist.

“Petrol might run to 1,080 to 2,000 if they allowed it,” Ayodele said in the video, expressing concern over what he described as looming economic pressure tied to the energy sector.
