Esther Aneke, wife of missing NELAN Consultants engineer Samuel Aneke, has made an emotional appeal for the return of her husband or confirmation of his fate after years of uncertainty.
Speaking to journalists in a video obtained by Arise TV, she shared the personal toll of his disappearance during a work trip to Ebonyi State.
Aneke was among protesters who converged on Abuja's Federal Ministry of Works to highlight the unresolved case of five engineers who went missing in November 2021 while overseeing the Abakaliki Ring Road project funded by the African Development Bank.
She recounted how her husband left home with her pregnancy at just two months and two weeks along, never to return.
Her words: "He (my husband) left me with two months and two weeks of pregnancy. I've been like that up to now. I did not see him coming back. I didn't see his corpse. Please, I am asking for justice. Please, they should release my husband wherever he is."
