Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is currently leading the Player of the Match standings in this season’s UEFA Champions League, following his impressive performances for Galatasaray.
The Super Eagles forward has already won the Man of the Match award four times, making him the player with the highest number of such awards in the competition so far this season.
Osimhen claimed his fourth award during Galatasaray’s recent Champions League clash against Italian giants Juventus in Turin last month.
The powerful striker has been in excellent form, scoring seven goals in eight matches in the competition this season.
Meanwhile, Galatasaray will face English club Liverpool F.C. in the Round of 16 first leg at the RAMS Park.
Other top players performing strongly in the tournament include Kylian Mbappé, Harry Kane, Erling Haaland, Charles De Ketelaere, Anthony Gordon, Sandro Tonali, and Francisco Trincão, who have each won the award three times in the current campaign.
Osimhen’s outstanding performances continue to place him among the top players in Europe this season.
