Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has warned Liverpool F.C. not to relax ahead of the second leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 clash.
This warning came after Galatasaray S.K. secured a narrow 1–0 victory in the first leg played on Tuesday night.
The Turkish giants will now travel to Anfield for the second leg with a slight advantage, hoping to defend their lead and move to the next stage of Europe’s biggest club competition.
Osimhen played a key role in the victory by providing the assist that led to the only goal of the match, scored early by Mario Lemina.
Speaking after the game, the Nigerian forward praised the unity and determination within the team, saying the players and fans share a strong bond that motivates them to perform well on the pitch.
According to him, the team showed great character against the English champions and believes they can still cause problems for Liverpool when they meet again.
Osimhen said the squad remains confident and ready for the challenge ahead.
He explained that the players worked hard together to secure the first-leg victory and will approach the second leg with same determination.
