Oladimeji Fabiyi, Deputy National Financial Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has criticized the current administration’s support base amid growing economic and social challenges in Nigeria.
Speaking during an interview on Symfoni TV, Fabiyi pointed to the difficulties faced by many citizens in fulfilling basic responsibilities, noting that widespread unemployment and lack of social support are undermining the capacity of Nigerians to meet essential obligations.
He highlighted the high rate of joblessness, which has left a large segment of the population struggling to secure employment.
The inability to earn a stable income has direct implications for individuals’ ability to provide for themselves and their families.
Many are unable to marry or support aging parents, creating a situation where basic societal duties become increasingly unattainable.
Fabiyi also emphasized the broader economic pressures confronting households. Rising costs of living, inflation, and limited access to essential services have compounded the strain on ordinary Nigerians.
