Fresh developments have emerged in the high-profile legal battle involving Nollywood stars, as moves are underway to settle the alleged criminal defamation and cyberstalking case filed against Angela Okorie following a petition by Mercy Johnson.
The parties, alongside the Inspector-General of Police, have informed the Federal High Court in Abuja of their intention to resolve the matter amicably before Justice Emeka Nwite.
Recall that Angela Okorie was earlier granted ₦5 million bail in January after being re-arraigned on a seven-count charge under the Cybercrimes Act, all of which she denied.
This latest development signals a possible end to the courtroom drama, as both sides appear willing to reach a peaceful resolution.
