I have no tears for Nasir El-Rufai and what he Faces; He Helped Bring This Evil Upon the Nation - Iroegbu

In a recent interview shared by Arise News, PDP member and Obidient, Dickson Iroegbu, reacted strongly to the reported detention of former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, by the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC).

Speaking during the discussion, Iroegbu made it clear that he had little sympathy for the former governor, linking his current situation to past political decisions. According to him, “I have no tears for Nasir El-Rufai and what he is facing; he was one of those who helped bring this evil upon the nation.”

He further argued that El-Rufai’s experience should serve as a lesson to political actors currently in positions of power. Iroegbu stated that leadership is temporary and that those who misuse power or contribute to poor governance may eventually be held accountable for their actions.

The PDP member also stressed that Nigerians are becoming more politically aware and are beginning to question the actions of those in authority. He noted that the current situation reflects a broader demand for accountability and justice within the system.

In addition, Iroegbu criticized the African Democratic Congress (ADC), a party El-Rufai is associated with, stating that it has not effectively mobilized public sentiment or presented a strong alternative to the ruling government.

He concluded by warning that political power is fleeting and that accountability remains inevitable.
