Dangote Refinery Raises Petrol Price to N875 Per Litre

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has increased its Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) gantry price by ₦101, raising the ex-depot rate from ₦774 to ₦875 per litre.

A senior refinery official confirmed that the adjustment was driven by recent volatility in global crude oil prices and rising replacement costs.

“Yes, the price has been reviewed. The new gantry price is now ₦875 per litre from ₦774. The review became necessary due to changes in global crude fundamentals and replacement costs,” the official stated.

Industry checks show the updated rate has already been reflected on petroleumprice.ng, signaling a potential ripple effect across Nigeria’s downstream market.

With marketers likely to adjust pump prices in response, consumers may soon feel the impact nationwide — raising fresh concerns about inflation and the cost of living.

📊 Analysts say global crude fluctuations continue to influence local pricing benchmarks despite domestic refining capacity improvements.
