German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have reportedly renewed their interest in Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, with head coach Vincent Kompany considering him as a possible replacement for Harry Kane.
According to reports, Bayern are currently in talks to extend Kane’s contract amid growing interest from FC Barcelona and several clubs in the Premier League.
Despite being only in his third season at Bayern, Kane has already established himself as one of the club’s most prolific forwards, scoring an astonishing 130 goals in 133 competitive matches.
However, with no new contract agreement finalized yet, the Bavarian giants are said to be exploring alternatives — and Osimhen has emerged as a top candidate following his impressive performances in Turkey with Galatasaray S.K..
The Nigerian striker enjoyed a remarkable first season in Turkey, scoring 37 goals in 41 matches across all competitions. Now in his second campaign with the Turkish giants, Osimhen continues his strong form with 10 Süper Lig goals and seven goals in eight UEFA Champions League games, including the decisive strike that helped Galatasaray secure a place in the round of 16.
Osimhen joined Galatasaray for a Turkish record €75 million after leaving SSC Napoli and is currently contracted with the club until June 2029.
According to French outlet Foot Mercato, the striker—represented by the KBSport agency—is now under serious consideration by Bayern Munich as they prepare for potential changes in their attacking lineup.
