The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has threatened to embark on industrial action over unresolved welfare concerns at the Federal University of Agriculture, Mubi (FAUM).
According to the union, several issues affecting staff welfare and working conditions remain unresolved, prompting warnings that academic activities at the institution could soon be disrupted if urgent steps are not taken.
ASUU stated that the concerns raised by its members must be addressed promptly to prevent the situation from escalating into a full-blown strike.
The union also called on the university administration and relevant authorities to engage in meaningful dialogue to resolve the matter and safeguard the academic calendar.
If the dispute remains unresolved, students and staff at FAUM could face another disruption to academic activities, increasing pressure on the institution to reach a quick resolution.
