In his victory speech, Kekemeke expressed confidence in the party’s strength across the South-West, promising improved performance from his team and assurances of victories in the 2027 governorship elections in Osun, Ekiti, and Oyo states.

Speaking on behalf of the South-West APC governors, Lagos Governor Sanwo-Olu praised the peaceful conduct of the congress, describing it as a demonstration of political maturity and unity in the region.

He also acknowledged the role of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in overseeing the process.

“Today, we have seen the conduct of a free and fair election, following the provisions of the 2026 Electoral Act. This congress shows that the South-West is united and a formidable political bloc,” Sanwo-Olu said.

Chairman of the Zonal Congress Committee, Jide Jimoh, highlighted the region’s tradition of progressive politics and confirmed that the exercise complied fully with the 2026 Electoral Act.

The National Secretary of the APC, Dr. Ajibola Basiru, represented by National Youth Leader Dr. Dayo Israel, congratulated the new executives and urged them to work collectively to deliver the South-West for the President in 2027.
