Seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton has called on African leaders to unite and reclaim control over the continent’s vast resources, describing Africa as “the most beautiful part of the world.”
Hamilton expressed concern that despite Africa’s enormous natural wealth, much of its resources have historically been exploited by foreign powers. He urged leaders across the continent to work together to ensure Africa benefits fully from what it possesses.
Speaking passionately about the issue, Hamilton said he hopes African leaders will come together and take back the continent’s power and resources.
“I’m looking forward and hoping that the people running those countries can come together and take Africa back. Take it back from the French, from the Spanish and Portuguese, and also the British.”
The Formula 1 star also emphasized the continent’s massive potential, noting that Africa has everything needed to become one of the most powerful regions in the world.
“They have the resources to be the greatest and most powerful part of the world,” Hamilton added.
According to him, unity and collaboration among African nations will be crucial for reclaiming the continent’s rightful position on the global stage and ensuring that its resources benefit its own people rather than foreign interests.
