Adedosu Urges Obi to Rethink Political Strategy, Criticizes His Focus on Nigeria's Challenges

Adebayo Adedosu has criticized Peter Obi for his recent comments regarding the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), urging Obi to rethink his political strategy. Speaking on TVC News, Adedosu expressed that Obi’s public remarks on Nigeria’s issues undermine his credibility as a potential leader, suggesting that presidential aspirants should focus on presenting a positive image of Nigeria rather than emphasizing its challenges.

He contrasted Obi’s approach with that of President Bola Tinubu, whom he praised for enhancing Nigeria’s international standing through his recent overseas engagements. According to Adedosu, Obi’s tendency to highlight the country’s problems reflects poorly on Nigeria globally, weakening his potential to lead.

Adedosu also questioned Obi’s political record, both as a former governor and as a national figure. He argued that Obi does not have the same level of experience as established politicians like Tinubu and that comparisons between them are unwarranted. Adedosu believes Obi should reassess his political trajectory, step back, and seek advice from trusted individuals to refine his approach if he hopes to remain relevant in future elections. In his blunt words, he advised Obi to consult his "special advisor" for guidance on his political journey, emphasizing that now is the time for critical reflection if he hopes to succeed.
