Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has earned widespread praise after gifting ₦10 million to players of Beyond Limits Football Academy, while sharing heartfelt advice on faith, hard work, and humility.
The presentation was organised by social media influencer Abdulsalam Idris, popularly known as Smallie, as part of his YouTube documentary “The Side Of Football Nobody Talks About.” He also facilitated a video call that allowed Osimhen to speak directly with the young players.
Addressing 35 academy players, the Galatasaray star surprised them, saying:
“I’m going to give you 10 million.”
Osimhen opened up about his journey from humble beginnings, reminding the players that the road to success is never smooth.
“I know what it’s like coming from the trenches, especially when you play football. Many of you are going through what I went through,” he said.
“Three things worked for me: believe in God, work hard, and be prepared for failure. Rejection will come — I’m speaking from experience.”
Beyond the money, the moment served as a powerful lesson in hope, resilience, and giving back, showing why Osimhen remains a role model both on and off the pitch.
