Wike not only attacking Fubara, but also throwing tantrums and blaming outside Actors –Nwabubasa

Former Rivers State Commissioner for Employment Generation and Empowerment, Leloonu Nwibubasa, has criticised the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, over his continued involvement in Rivers State politics. According to a report by Daily Post on Saturday, January 3, 2025, Nwabubasa stated that Wike has refused to allow peace and proper governance in the state since leaving office.

According to him, Wike has constantly attacked his successor, Governor Siminalayi Fubara, instead of allowing the current administration to focus on governing. He said the former governor also shifts blame to people outside Rivers State who, in his view, have nothing to do with the political issues in the state.

Nwabubasa explained that Wike has remained in the news for negative reasons, often creating tension and confusion in Rivers State. He questioned why someone who left office years ago would still interfere so deeply in the affairs of the state, rather than giving room for stability and development.

He further described Wike’s actions as those of a politician who may be losing influence and is now searching for people to blame. Nwabubasa said this situation has created unnecessary political drama and distractions, making it difficult for governance to move smoothly in Rivers State.

The former commissioner also advised Wike to reflect on his political position, especially as he is no longer clearly identified with any political party. He stressed that it is inappropriate for someone without firm party membership to continue playing intense political games in the state.

In his words, "He is not only attacking his successor, Governor Siminalayi Fubara, but also throwing tantrums and blaming outside actors that have nothing to do with politics in Rivers State."
