The United States has announced drug trafficking and terrorism charges against Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
According to reports, the action followed a major US military operation in Venezuela.
During the operation, Maduro and his wife were captured and later flown out of the country.
US President Donald Trump shared the update on his Truth Social page, saying the operation was carried out with the support of US law enforcement agencies.
Trump also said he would address the public at a news conference scheduled for 11:00 a.m. (GMT) from Mar-a-Lago, Florida, where he is spending the holiday period.
