The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ajibola Basiru, has told the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to resign from office and focus on Rivers State politics.
Basiru said Wike has no right to interfere in APC matters because he is not a member of the party. He stressed that until Wike officially joins APC, he should stay away from the party’s affairs.
The APC secretary also denied claims that he is interested in the ₦600 billion belonging to Rivers State. He said his public service record shows honesty and strong principles.
According to Basiru, he cannot be threatened or intimidated by anyone, adding that his loyalty is to the APC and the Nigerian people.
He advised Wike to stop commenting on APC issues and instead step down as minister to handle what he described as Wike’s “strong interest”
