Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has carried out a cabinet reshuffle, removing the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Olanike Adeyemo, with immediate effect.
The development was confirmed in a statement released on Monday by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, in Ibadan.
Following the change, Governor Makinde appointed Prof. Musibau Babatunde as the new SSG.
In the reshuffle, Temilolu Ashamu was moved from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources to the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.
The governor also named Ademola Aderinto, formerly Senior Special Assistant on Public Works, as a commissioner-designate, pending screening by the Oyo State House of Assembly.
Other appointments include Abiodun Adedoja as Special Adviser on Energy Security and Kolawole Elijah Akanmu as Senior Special Assistant on Budget and Economic Planning.
