"I know things of late haven't been how we would have liked. You can clearly see or hear or listen to the manager's press conference to know that there's been tensions.
I've had so many phone calls after the news — everyone expects me to know what's happening. I haven't got a clue what's happening. I'm not involved in the first team, I'm on the academy side. I don't know.
But just my opinion from afar: there's clearly tensions between the manager and owners, hence why they've come to this agreement or decision. But it is a big shock. Rewind 3-4 weeks ago, we were playing so well against Barcelona. The performance against Arsenal, how good it was. Fast forward 4 weeks to recent form and performances clearly haven't been enough.
He has got things wrong at times, but I will say there are two sides to every story. There must be stuff going on behind scenes that I certainly don't know, but just hear rumblings like everyone else does — as well rumours on the internet, on social media and stuff like that.
So disappointed with the news. Still loads to play for this season: Champions League, League, Carabao Cup, all of that. So whoever comes in, it's happened in the past and we've managed to adapt and deal with it as players have. To get on with it. Unfortunately this is part of the process. So the players now have to step up and deal."
