Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has called for an end to attacks on Christians in Nigeria.
Netanyahu made the statement in his Christmas message to Christians around the world. He condemned the persecution of Christians globally and mentioned Nigeria among countries facing such violence.
According to him, attacks against Christians or people of any religion should not be allowed.
He blamed militant groups for the violence and said such actions must stop immediately.
The Israeli leader also criticised attacks on Christians in some Middle Eastern countries, including Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Turkey.
Netanyahu said Israel will always stand with Christians across the world and support freedom of religion.
