Meet Aaryn DuBose, an inspiring young African scholar who has earned a Master’s degree in Veterinary Science from Tuskegee University, placing him among fewer than 2% of Black veterinarians in the United States.
Aaryn’s journey began at just seven years old, after losing his beloved dog, Thunder, in a tragic accident. Watching his pet take its final breath sparked a lifelong promise—to never again be unable to help an animal in pain.
He went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University in 2021, before excelling at Tuskegee University, where he graduated as one of the top students in his class.
Now, the journey continues. Aaryn has been accepted into Tuskegee University’s Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program, moving even closer to becoming Dr. DuBose.
