Moved by his talent and confidence, Tony Elumelu immediately gifted him ₦1 million. Nonso Okpala, Group Managing Director of VFD Group, followed with another ₦1 million.

Their generosity sparked a chain reaction as other attendees began contributing to the young man on the spot. The MC, overwhelmed by the crowd’s excitement, jokingly expressed envy at the attention the performer received.

According to those who spoke with him after the event, the young man revealed that he had been homeless and unemployed, struggling despite being educated.
