Pastor E.A. Adeboye has revealed the reason behind his long-standing decision to avoid having a female secretary, especially during periods when his work extends late into the night.
According to the revered cleric, the choice was driven by a desire to maintain personal discipline and avoid situations that could lead to temptation or misinterpretation. He noted that being alone with a member of the opposite gender during late-night work sessions can create unnecessary risks, both morally and reputationally.
“I stopped having a female secretary the moment I knew I would begin to work late into the night. I understand the dangers of being left alone at night with people of the opposite gender,” he said.
