Research conducted by aviation tracker and counterterrorism analyst Brant Philip indicated that a modified Gulfstream V, owned by the United States, conducted surveillance over Borno State on Saturday.
“Today, the U.S. has resumed ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) operations targeting ISWAP in the Sambisa Forest, one day after strikes in Sokoto,” Philip reported on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
The aircraft is associated with Tenax Aerospace, an American company providing specialized reconnaissance services, and frequently operates in coordination with the U.S. military. The planes are deployed from a U.S. logistics base in Ghana.
