Two Teenage Girls Arrested With Pump-Action Gun in Edo State

A disturbing video has surfaced online showing two teenage girls arrested in Edo State for allegedly being in possession of an automatic pump-action shotgun. The footage, shared on Wednesday by anti-cultism platform Naija Confra, has sparked widespread concern over rising youth involvement in armed crime.

The suspects, identified as Believe Ehinor (18) and Ofoma Sofia (19), were reportedly arrested by operatives of the Uromi Division of the Edo State Police Command around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.

During the operation, officers recovered five live cartridges, which the girls had concealed in a sack bag.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Moses Yamu, the teenagers confessed that the firearm belongs to one Peace Ehinor, who managed to escape during an earlier raid.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to track down the fleeing suspect as part of broader efforts to curb illegal firearms and youth crime in the state.
