Sule Lamido Hints at Leaving PDP Over Internal Crisis

Former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido, has said he may quit the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) if the party fails to resolve its ongoing internal problems.

Lamido made this known during an interview with BBC Hausa on Tuesday in Kaduna.
He said the crisis within the PDP is getting worse and if nothing is done urgently, he may be forced to join another political party.

According to him, some individuals are deliberately working to weaken and destroy the PDP, while party leaders have failed to act decisively to stop the division.

Lamido noted that the PDP, which once united Nigerians, is now troubled by constant infighting, leaving many loyal members unhappy and frustrated.

He warned that if the crisis continues, it could seriously damage the party’s chances in future elections.

“If we cannot find solutions to the problems facing the PDP, I will have no option but to look elsewhere,” he said.
