South Africa to Host Mosi III Naval Drills with Russia, China and Iran

South Africa 🇿🇦 will host Exercise Mosi III, a joint naval drill with Russia 🇷🇺 and China 🇨🇳, in early January 2026. 

The exercise was postponed from November due to South Africa’s G20 commitments.

In a notable development, Iranian warships 🇮🇷 will also participate, underscoring deepening military cooperation among BRICS-aligned nations.

The drills will focus on;

-Maritime security

-Anti-piracy operations

-Search and rescue missions

-Joint naval operations and coordination
