Olu of Warri Inspects Completed Warri Trans Ode-Itsekiri Road, Access Bridges


Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, on Wednesday conducted an inspection tour of the Warri Trans Ode-Itsekiri Road and Access Bridges project, marking the completion of the long-delayed infrastructure after 20 years.

The 20.9-kilometre road links several riverine and mainland communities, branching off to Ugbodede, Usele, Ajigba, Inorin, Orugbo and Ode-Itsekiri, and extending through Ifiekporo, Aja-Etan, Ikeren to Ubeji, all within Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.

The project, which is expected to significantly improve connectivity and socio-economic activities in the area, is slated for official commissioning in the first quarter of 2026.

During the inspection, the monarch expressed satisfaction with the completion of the road and bridges, noting that the project would enhance access, boost trade and improve the quality of life for residents of the benefiting communities.
