The Ugandan national team’s preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations have suffered a major setback after players reportedly boycotted a training session on Saturday over a dispute over unpaid allowances.
According to reports, several members of the squad, refused to take part in training, citing payment delays.
The players are also said to be demanding clarity on the exact allowances they are expected to receive for the duration of their stay in Morocco.
Tough Group C challenge awaits
Uganda is scheduled to open its campaign against Tunisia’s Carthage Eagles in Fès on Tuesday.
