Tunisia have moved to the top of Group C at the AFCON 2025 after defeating Uganda 3–1 on Tuesday night.
The North Africans took control early, scoring two first-half goals through Ellyes Skhiri and Elias Achouri. Achouri later added his second goal in the 64th minute to make it three.
Uganda managed a late goal in added time through Denis Omedi, but it was not enough to stop Tunisia.
The victory puts Tunisia first in Group C on goal difference.
Earlier on Tuesday, Nigeria beat Tanzania 2–1, placing the Super Eagles second in the group ahead of their crucial match against Tunisia.
