Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has admitted he made some wrong decisions during Nigeria’s 2–1 victory over Tanzania at the AFCON 2025 on Tuesday.
Nigeria started their campaign on a winning note as they chase a fourth AFCON title.
Defender Semi Ajayi scored first for Nigeria before Tanzania equalised through Charles M’Mombwa. Just two minutes later, Ademola Lookman grabbed the winning goal for the Super Eagles.
After the match, Chelle said not all his decisions were perfect but stressed that he has a clear vision as the team’s coach.
The win gives Nigeria three important points as they continue their journey in the tournament.
