Residents of parts of Nigeria’s capital city, Abuja, are once again grappling with prolonged electricity outage following a technical fault on a major power feeder, a development confirmed by the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC).
The blackout, which has affected Utako and sections of Wuye, has left homes, businesses, and essential services in darkness, sparking frustration and anger among residents, especially as the disruption comes at a time when many households are preparing for the festive season.
In a public notice issued on Monday, AEDC disclosed that the outage was caused by a technical fault on a critical feeder supplying electricity to the affected areas.
