Posters of former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, have appeared across major streets in Kaduna, raising fresh conversations about the 2027 presidential election.
The posters describe Amaechi as “the only man for the job” and focus on messages of unity, fairness, stability, and development. They were seen in busy areas like Ahmadu Bello Way, Ali Akilu Way, around the Government House, and Kawo Bridge.
Many residents noticed the posters early in the morning, with some drivers and pedestrians slowing down to read them, especially around Kawo Bridge, where traffic briefly slowed.
Amaechi, who holds the traditional title Dan Amanan Kasar Hausa of Daura, has served as Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Governor of Rivers State, and Minister of Transportation.
Although he has not officially declared his intention to run, the sudden appearance of the posters has fueled talks about a possible comeback. Amaechi previously contested the APC presidential primary in 2022, where he came second.
Nigerians are now watching closely as 2027 draws nearer.
