The Abia State Government has officially commenced the recruitment exercise for 4,000 new teachers into the state’s teaching service.
According to the announcement, any qualified applicant with educational credentials higher than WAEC (as outlined in the official requirements) is eligible to apply.
The government emphasized that the entire recruitment process is completely free of charge, from application to final selection.
Citizens are therefore urged to report immediately any individual or government official who demands money or any form of gratification during the process.
This initiative forms part of Governor Alex Otti’s ongoing reforms aimed at strengthening the state’s education system and improving teaching standards across Abia.
