A Financial Technology Platform, PalmPay Limited, has cautioned its customers across the country to be wary of antics of scámmers and fráudsters.
The bank’s Managing Director, Chika Nwosu, made the call during a road walk in Kano organized to sensitize the public to protect themselves from fráudulent tactics.
Nwosu said the campaign became necessary to ensure no customer of the bank fell prey to the fráudsters.
The Managing Director noted that while the number of fraûd incidences is decreasing, the bank is committed to bringing it to zero level.
He stated: “We want to have a very healthy financial ecosystem. We want to eliminate everything that is fraûd on our platform. We don’t want anybody who is using PalmPay to be a victim of fráudsters.
“My message to customers is that they should be very careful. Not whatever you see as a link on your phone or maybe your Facebook you click. Ensure you verify the link before you click on it. Any link that you don’t trust, you don’t need to click on it. Be wary of the antics of the fráudsters.
“What drive the campaign is because of some of the complaints we get on our platforms, social media, customer care lines. Although the incidence is not rising but because it is going down doesn’t mean we should need to relax. Our objective is to eliminate it completely or at zero level.”
