A grassroots politician and the Young People’s Party (YPP) candidate for Karshi/Uke Constituency in the 2023 general elections, Shadrach Gani Magaji, has defected to the Social Democratic Party (SDP) after a month-long consultation.
Magaji announced his defection on Monday and was welcomed by the chairman of the party in his Agada/Bagaji ward of Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Alhaji Tanko Dorowa, along with other officials.
The grassroots politician, an ally of Rep. Gbefwi Jonathan Gaza, defected to the SDP ahead of the 2027 general elections.
