Benin Republic head coach, Gernot Rohr, says Nigeria should win their 2026 World Cup playoff final against DR Congo on Sunday but warns the Super Eagles not to relax.
Rohr, who earlier predicted that both teams would reach the final, noted that Nigeria are the favourites after their 4–1 extra-time win over Gabon, while DR Congo defeated Cameroon 1–0.
He said Congo are physically strong, very tough on set pieces, and showed great mental strength in their last match. Because of this, he advised the Super Eagles to stay focused and avoid mistakes.
Nigeria and DR Congo will battle for the single ticket to represent Africa in the intercontinental playoffs.
